An initiative from Microsoft for aligning its various business applications (Great Plains, Navison, Solomon, Microsoft CRM) under a single codebase. Introduced in 2003, Project Green never came to fruition. In 2005, Microsoft renamed its various packages, which were mostly acquired, with a "Dynamics" prefix; for example, Microsoft Dynamics GP for the Great Plains software. See
